At PLAE, we take a methodical approach to product development. Before we ever put down a design, we’re in the trenches doing our homework. We walk with coaches on their turf, in their training facilities and on their competitive arenas to look, listen and learn. We visit athletes in training and request wish lists and “ideal world” scenarios. We accompany managers on walk-throughs and invite honesty about that status quo. Our mission is to find out what’s missing, not working or unsatisfactory, and then change it.
Our mindset is to first understand the application and the needs, and then to create the solution. We refuse to simply replicate what’s in the marketplace already. Take our unique Achieve flooring, for example, a result of strength coaches complaining about existing training room flooring. Made using a solid mold to resist deflection and sagging, Achieve equips athletes to train more powerfully and explosively, withstanding rigorous usage while returning energy.
Our goal is to deliver innovative products that are inherently PLAE-able and custom-made for a specific purpose. We aim for foundations that offer greater advantages, better aesthetics and longer-lasting performance.
